Nicholas Palma grew up in the Forest Hill section of Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from St. Benedict’s Preparatory School and went on to William Paterson University, where he achieved inclusion on the Dean’s List for all four years and was selected by faculty for membership into the Honors Program. He graduated cum laude in 1975, with a B.S. in Public Safety Administration and a minor in History.
Mr. Palma was accepted into the evening program at Seton Hall University School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor in May 1979. He then passed the bar exam given in July 1979, when the state bar’s passing rate was at an all time low of only 47%.
While attending law school in the evenings, Mr. Palma worked as an Investigator for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office from March 1975 until his swearing in as an attorney in December 1979.
Upon his swearing in, Mr. Palma was promoted to Assistant Prosecutor, and then moved up the ranks to become Chief of the Juvenile Investigation Division, and then into the Adult Trial Division.
In January 1982, Mr. Palma made the switch to private practice by becoming an Associate at a local law firm, where his diligent work was rewarded with a partnership.
In 1990, he created the Law Offices of Nicholas J. Palma, Esq., P.C., where he proudly serves the Greater New York City Area.
